Located at 5202 McGinnis Ferry Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30005, MOTW Coffee and Pastries operates as a coffee shop serving Alpharetta in Georgia. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (470) 679-6781. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, motw.coffee.

Alpharetta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Alpharetta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I had a wonderful experience at MOTW Coffee and Pastries in Alpharetta. The moment I walked in, the place felt warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed, a great spot to relax, get some work done, or meet with friends. The customer service was friendly and attentive, making the whole visit feel easy and enjoyable. The staff was patient, welcoming, and happy to help with recommendations, which I really appreciated. The coffee and pastries were excellent — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Everything tasted well-balanced, and you can tell they focus on quality ingredients and presentation. I also noticed how clean and well-maintained the space was, with a comfortable seating setup that makes you want to stay longer. The overall environment is calm yet lively, which is a great combination. If you’re in the Alpharetta area and looking for a place with great coffee, delicious pastries, and a welcoming atmosphere, MOTW is definitely worth a visit.

This is a great place like a Starbucks or Boba tea place environment. Several types of middle eastern tea. I have been here specifically for “Yemeni Tea” which is awesome. We got the pot as I was with friends. They serve in a nice pot and transparent glass cups. The Yemeni tea was like a little lighter and smoother version of Irani chai. It’s addictive. I have already been there multiple times in the last month. They also have several other food items like empanadas, cakes, Dubai chocolate flavored sweet items, etc.

First time at MOTW Coffee & Pastries The coffee is good, I enjoy plain black. The service is fast and friendly. The atmosphere is fantastic... its impeccably clean, stylish and modern. Areas to sit and work on your laptop or with a group to chat. My only criticism is that I paid over $6 for a large, plain, black coffee. I could understand if it was a specialty drink, exotic mix or sweet concoction.... but its just a plain black coffee. TOO MUCH IMO 🤷‍♂️

I came back to this café for the Yemeni chai. It’s exactly my kind of flavor—really delicious. The pastries and muffins are great too. Above all, I love the atmosphere of the space. There’s no loud music, which I really appreciate. It’s a perfect place to read quietly.

I love that this place stays open late on both weekdays and weekends—it’s perfect for studying, working, or hanging out with friends. The atmosphere is spacious, bright, and welcoming. If you’re looking for authentic Dubai chocolate, you must try this spot. The crunchy Dubai chocolate layered with chocolate cake was incredible (though it sold out on my second visit, which shows how popular it is!). I also enjoyed the Dubai strawberry cup—fresh strawberries, rich Dubai chocolate, and just the right amount of kanaif. The empanadas were surprisingly impressive, too—great fillings paired with their special house sauce. Drinks are a highlight! I highly recommend the pistachio latte with oat milk and the strawberry matcha latte. They also offer seasonal specials, and students can get any size drink for just $5! The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the milk cake—it was too moist and overly sweet for my taste. Overall, MOTW is a fantastic spot with unique flavors and a great vibe. Definitely worth checking out!
